Recorded in Michigan, these eleven instrumentals feature some shimmering ensemble performances led by Nikkos on flute, piano and keyboards.
After being part of the Angels Dreaming team, bassist Dan Kolton, percussionist Dennis Sheridan and piano/keyboardist Louis Resto ( who produced, composed and arranged for Anita Baker, Eminem...) return for Angels Flying.
Newly featured is guitarist Michele Ramo, who met Nikkos 24 years ago as a student at the same Sicilian music conservatory; know internationally for the unique Bossa Nova style exemplified on his own solo recordings, Ramo also plays with world jazz artist like Pizzarelli.
Cellist Mario Di Fiore rounds out the players for Angels Flying, giving these tunes a more lavish and fuller resonance than the supremely elegant yet spare sounds on Angels Dreaming.
